Global Investment & Export Trade

In today’s changed financial and economic environment, when undertaking cross-border transactions, it is critical to make use of all the risk management tools and funding available from the public sector development banks as well as the public and private sector trade credit and investment insurers.

The international development banks, such as the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the Asian Development Bank and others, have huge financial resources available, both funding and risk management tools such as guarantees and insurance, to support trade and investment into, from and between developed and developing countries and emerging economies.

Similarly, the Export Credit Agencies can provide risk mitigation in the form of guarantees, insurance and sometimes funding in support of international trade and investment; and the private insurance sector can provide credit insurance for domestic and international trade as well as investment insurance for cross-border investment and lending. IAA is well placed to identify suitable partners anywhere in the world for any form of cross-border trade and investment, evaluate which would make the best partner, effect introductions and assist in the application process, including the development of suitable business plans.
