Wholesale and Complex Funding

The increasing range of options for funding an asset finance company, and the implications of funding structures, have become increasingly complex. Moreover, new providers emerge to challenge existing established providers with new approaches, terms and pricing. Traditional funding such as Block Discounting now sits along securitised products, receivable and portfolio trading and several hybrid structures. All of these structures have different implications, not just for the price of the facility but also for ease of execution, operational demands and ongoing stability.

Whilst the majority of transactions for end users and the vendor/manufacturer community follow a well established pattern, there are several areas where the funding question becomes more complex. This complexity may be driven by geography, risk challenges, structural requirements or a myriad of other transaction specific needs that do not fit into the usual models. At IAA Advisory we have a team of experienced structurers who have many decades of combined experience in structuring and executing complex deals. The experience covers a wide range of funding types, including:

  • Funding in M&A transactions
  • Securitised and Hybrid Securitised transactions
  • Capital Markets transactions
  • Syndicated lending
  • “Big Ticket” leasing
  • Vendor and Manufacturer end user finance programmes
  • Cross border funding

The skills also cover a wide range of industry sectors, including:

  • Utilities
  • Marine
  • Aerospace
  • Manufacturing
  • Automotive
  • Financial Services
